Today, on 15th August 2020, Magneto CleanTech has announced 2 new patents for air sanitization technologies to protect any home, office, hotel, or hospital from coronavirus – starting the #CoronaSeAzadi movement.

In line with our vision to create solutions that shatter the status quo, we’ve successfully developed 2 new products to combat airborne infections – including SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus) – especially relevant in the current COVID-19 crisis.

With Magneto Central Air Cleaner (MCAC), any AC can be upgraded to provide air sanitization using the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) and ASHRAE recommended Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) technology to kill up to 99% of micro-organisms and Electrically Charged Filtration (ECF) to capture 90% of particles down to 0.3 microns in minutes. Whether it’s your house, office, school, hospital, Magneto Central Air Cleaner can be applied in all ACs to protect from coronavirus and numerous other airborne infectious diseases. It has been tested to eliminate E. Coli, Bacillus (Anthrax surrogate), H1N1 (swine flu) 99% in 60 minutes, along with human coronavirus (H-CoV) inactivation testing in progress at a US-based BSL-3 lab. The UVGI technology is well-recognized for its anti-microbial abilities and the revolutionary ECF system is ideal for combating PM 2.5 air pollution. Since the UVGI is applied inside your air conditioning unit, there is no UV exposure outside the unit, verified with a Zero UV Leak Test to be completely safe for room occupants.

Furthermore, we announce the open source design availability of our Bio-Aerosol Air Protection unit aka BaaP patent for protecting the nation’s and the world’s healthcare workers and caretakers from coronavirus. Through the BaaP unit, any COVID-19 patient care spot, whether at the home, hospital, or outdoors, can be converted into an isolation ward without modifications. This low-cost design does localized contaminant collection and ventilation as opposed to room-based ventilation, requiring 12 air exchanges per hour (ACH) for airborne patient isolation. It is designed as a multi-stage filtration system that includes ASHRAE recommended technologies such as High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter, Electronically Charged filter (ECF), and Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) to exhaust and eliminate SARS-CoV-2 infectious contaminant. Since the BaaP unit acts on a much smaller volume of air, targeting the areas of contaminant generation (nose and mouth), it can be retrofitted in any setting with an overhead collector. While we spent countless hours prototyping and evaluating the unit, we believe it is best to make it available openly across the globe to help battle the current pandemic and protect our frontline corona warriors.
